Hello again everybody!

Sweat dripped off Grub's forehead as he tried to concentrate on his measurements. Yes... a two-centimer-thick sheet of metal should do...
The torturer wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, paused for a moment, sighing, and then continued his craft.
The darkness of the dungeon suddenly dispelled, swirling colors illuminating the walls. The source of this sudden disturbance was a huge, strangely silent vortex - stereotypically light blue, with splotches of other colors thrown in, swirling and distorting. Incredibly, Grub didn't notice, his attention focused entirely on his work.
From the portal stepped a pale (not quite as pale as Grub, though) man dressed in outlandish clothing. Large, dark boots covered his feet; he wore loose blue denim jeans and a dark blue shirt with a single red stripe across the chest. His left arm was pale and somewhat thin, while his right arm, starting on the shoulder, was made of metal. His white face was half-covered by a pair of thick, one-way black glass goggles. Even the his hair seemed peculiar, it rose skyward, slightly curly, and bright-blue.
The outlander peered around the dungeon, eyes slowly adjusting to the sudden darkness as the portal closed behind him.
... I'm POSITIVE this isn't Mexico, he thought, not daring to speak lest he disturb the freaky thin man working ever-diligently on... what was he working on? The outsider peered around the side of the man, not daring to come to close, and saw a grim looking schematic for a machine clearly not being used for the forces of good. Sneering, the new arrival placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, about to draw it from his back, then thought better of himself. Best not to start attacking random people, no matter how harmful they may seem... you don't know where you are or how to escape.
His eyes flickered to the heavy wooden door from behind his goggles.
Well... only one way to find out...
As quietly as he could, he opened the door, then took off running down the dark, twisting corridor.
