Her eyes widened when she saw him. Him! The same boy that tried to save her, why was he here? Their eyes met and locked, gazing at each other in confusion and wonderment.
"Oh, dear God!" Miraye gasped. Her head throbbed. "This isn't happening, this isn't.."
"Well, it is." The orange eyed figure said. She looked up at him, and immediately stepped back into one of the men behind her. "Hey!" he said, as he shoved her forward. "Please no, please.." she cried.
As all this was happening, the boy just watched. He looked like he was drained of all his energy. Miraye kept trying to back away, but it was no use.
"Stay still!" the men told her, as they kept pushing her back in the dungeon.
"Another child," the black haired figure whispered, "Now I have two children in my hands." He looked at the men.
"You know what to do."
The two men that pushed Miraye in, took her wrists and chained her to the wall next to the boy. She kicked at them, and hit one of the men's knees. Lark raised one of his eyebrows at the sight.
The men left, Miraye now chained to the wall next to the boy.
"I hate the dark," she said to herself, "God, I hope they kill me right away."
The boy overheard and looked at her. "Why?" he asked.
She looked at him, his violet eyes seemed like they were staring into her soul.
"Long story that I wish not to explain." Miraye explained,
"The name's Miraye. You?"
The boy smiled slightly. "Tic, my name's Tic."
"Tic. Nifty name. Thanks for trying to help me that other day."
Tic seemed less frightened, now. "No problem. So, you're the cause of the East Side's destruction?" His slight smile had faded when he said this.
"I don't know-"
"Enough with the introductions," a voice growled. Miraye looked forward.
"Now.."
Larkin stepped toward the two, a menacing expression on his face. His orange eyes glared upon them.
"..This is the end.." Miraye breathed.
