Thought and Horror

Stelon wandered throughout the ball looking somewhat chagrined after hearing Miraye's response to seeing Tic and Larkin. She had hoped Miraye would be happy they had found him, afterall, he had to be of some importance to her if she came back to the castle for him, and she was pretty sure it wasn't just because he'd saved her life before. Stel sighed softly and continued roaming rather aimlessly around, sidestepping a servant every now and then, catching glimpses of Miraye, Farrago, and Imera who was spinning through the ball in a rather random course.

On occasion she found herself watching Tic and Larkin and realized there was some distant memory tugging at her mind as she noticed Tic's rather pretty violet eyes. Shaking the feeling off, she now glanced at Larkin and began trying to understand what it was that made him worthy of Matthias and Miraye's hate.

He stood rather tall in comparison to herself, and he had very captivating yellow-orange eyes. His long ebony colored hair that fell gracefully down his back, nicer and much better tended to than her own, and he was dressed very elegantly in black, white, and silver. The colors worked very well on him. It was indeed very shocking and embarrassing when he turned and their eyes met, and she immediately turned away. He was indeed very handsome, and as Stelon began to realize this, she shook herself. He was the enemy. Nothing more. She would have to remember that despite his appearance, he was sneaky and cruel from what she'd heard.

Yet there Tic stood next to him, dressed almost as nicely as Larkin and looking none too abused. A cross of confusion and curiosity passed through her features before she shook herself from her thoughts upon seeing Miraye go and curtsy to them both.

Forcing herself to turn away completely, she sauntered off to find Imera and Farrago. Farrago was standing by off alone, clutching her bear still and murmering things to him. Stelon sighed and decided that was probably not going to be very interesting for her as Farrago seemed to talk almost solely to the bear alone. Her eyes skimmed the crowd, finally finding Imera after several minutes. Stelon let out a small gasp of slight surprise. She had found her alright. She was sprawled out over a man's lap, in the corner, apparently passed out. Or so she thought. The idea that Imera could be dead never once crossed Stelon's mind, and she strolled off looking for Matthias, somewhat disgusted by Imera's state.

When she finally managed to find Matthias, things were NOT looking good. She was near enough to see he and Miraye arguing, Matthias quite obviously drunk. Stelon let out an aggravated groan and squeaked slightly in surprise as he came face to face with Larkin. Matthias talking to Larkin while drunk was not going to be a good idea, especially considering Larkin would know who he was.

Stelon shrieked suddenly as Matthias drew back his fist and slammed it rather forcefully into Larkin's teeth, her hands going up to her face in fright. They were indeed here to save Tic, but she knew it wasn't the right time, she knew this was bad, and shrieked again as Larkin kneed Matthias and hit him back, sending him backwards and eventually to the floor. Stelon tried not to force her eyes from the scene playing out before her and couldn't. She froze where she was and continued to watch the ghastly show before her.
